Bulah Viola (Schultz) Hudson, 89, died at home in Buda, Texas on Saturday, February 3, 2018, with loving family at her side. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, February 9, 2018 at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel, 201 Edwards in Merkel. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Viola was born at home on March 23, 1928 in Coleman County, Texas to Henry Earl and Bulah Luie Dozier Schultz. She married Earl Bransford and had two children, Carol and Wayne. She was later married to Dub Davis Hudson, and had two children, Randy and Danny. Viola worked at the Gooch Company in Abilene, Texas and worked at and managed many restaurants in Abilene and Odessa. She moved to Nevada, where she worked at the Tonopah Test Range, retiring in Las Vegas in 1993. In 2006, she returned to Texas, making her home in Buda.
She was a member of Shadow Hills Baptist Church in Las Vegas Nevada. She could do anything she set her mind to, playing guitar and piano, and cooking like no other. Most of all, her true love was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viola is survived by her sister, Marie Goode and beloved children, Carol Cronan and husband James, Wayne Bransford and wife La Tasha and Randy Hudson and wife Roxanne; grandchildren Sheila St. John and husband Robert, Melinda Lane, Michael Lane, Miranda Munroe and husband Greg, Timothy Hudson, Ellie Younger, Jeremy Hudson and wife Leticia, Amberlyn Hudson, Hailey Hollis, Cameron Hollis, Riley Hollis and Ashley Bogner. She loved every one of her 17 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Earl Bransford, Dub Davis Hudson, her sweet baby Danny Othell Hudson; her parents, Henry Earl and Bulah Luie Schultz; brothers Harvey Earl Schultz, Doris Ray Schultz and baby brother Lee Roy Schultz; and sisters Audrey Ruth Jackson and Dorthy Faye Warren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Lane, Joesph Lane, Robert St. John, John Paul Fuentes, Russell Larson and Jeremy Hudson. Honorary pallbearers will be Koty Moore and Michael Lane.
