James Allen McFadden, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the age of 68.

James was born August 2, 1949 in Abilene to Herbert James and Wanda Glee King McFadden. He married Betty Bob Folsom December 28, 1968, and to that union was born three sons.

He attended Caps and Cooper High School. He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971 with a tour in Vietnam and rotating out of Ft. Hood. Following his tour of duty, he worked with his father building cabinets and houses for his company, McFadden and Sons. He retired in 2015. James was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Abilene.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons Robert Allen McFadden and wife Renae; Michael James McFadden and Aubri; and James E. McFadden and wife Becky; three grandsons, Kenneth J., Stephen and Shawn McFadden; and two sisters, Amanda and Janice McFadden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 West Lake Road, in Abilene under the direction of Starbuck Funeral Home.
