Obituary for Sterling Bo Jones

Sterling Bo  Jones
Sterling Bo Jones passed from this life on April 14, 2017 in Merkel, Texas at the age of thirty four.
Sterling was born in Lubbock, Texas on July 7, 1982. The family moved to Merkel from Ropesville in 1996. Sterling graduated from Merkel High School in 2000. Sterling worked with his dad in the family-owned business, Handy Hardware, for several years. He was also a skilled carpenter and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a kind-hearted young man who cared about others. Sterling was always a loving father who had his children’s best interests at heart. Ryan and Cooper will always remember their dad’s patience in everyday life and his interest in their pursuits. Sterling was a devoted son and brother and will be missed greatly.
Sterling is survived by his cherished children Ryan and Cooper of Amarillo, his parents Darry Jones and Nikki Morgan of Merkel and William and Christy Gromowsky of Amarillo, his brother Taylor and his wife Kasey of Amarillo, grandparents Jack and Mary Boone of Merkel and Ronnie Jones of Lubbock, great grandmother, Patsy Humble of Post, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services for Sterling will include visitation at Starbuck Funeral Home in Merkel, April 21st from 5pm to 7pm Graveside service will be held at McKenzie Cemetery at Silver, TX, TX Hwy 208, at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 22nd. Pallbearers will be Sterling’s cousins and valued friends: Clipper Strickland, Casey Boone, Dustin Baker, Zane Duncan, Erik Beaird, Jason Clinton, Tanner Sherley, Jason Stewart, and Jason Beaird.
